Day 2: Barcelona, Spain

Well, good evening folks.  Today has been quite the day.  I´m writing from the Hostel lobby computer, not my phone (because it got stolen).  The day started off with a nice wake up call from Wic Cletus Smith.  Wic was also the first to crash last night probably because he took a 5 hour energy yesterday afternoon.  We then headed to the Hostel lobby where we enjoyed a delicious complimentary breakfast of warm milk, toast with nutella, and stale cereal.  After that, we departed the hostel and headed to an outstanding Spanish restaurant to eat again.  We enjoyed a nice second breakfast/lunch at a local cafe because none of us actually ate at the Hostel.  We then departed toward the Catalunya Plaza where we purchased tickets for the Barcelona Futbol Stadium Tour along with tickets for the Double Decker Bus Tour, which was glorious.  This was many of our favorite stop mainly because we didn´t have to get on our feet for an hour and a half.  Finally, we arrived at the Stadium and enjoyed a tour, which has been a lifelong dream of John A.  While John A, Cossar, and Tramel were finishing up touring the stadium, Harrison, Wic and myself feasted on a great American hamburger adjacent to the stadium.  Finally, we departed the Stadium and got back on the Double Decker bus.  We then toured the rest of the city and went to a local mall.  Harrison and myself enjoyed a nice latte from Starbucks while the rest of the crew purchased their frat attire from a store in the mall.  After we finished at the mall, we then headed back towards our hostel via the Double Decker bus.  We decided to eat dinner at a Pizzeria that was located on the main drag.  This was by far our best meal yet.  We all enjoyed authenic pizza and dessert, as well as partaking in the Spanish culture.  We had some great fellowship before finally beginning the 1 mile journey back to the hostel.  We finally arrived at the Hostel just after 11 PM.  It was quite the journey today but we wanted to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see.  We are waking up around 4 AM(itś 12 AM right now) to make sure we have plenty of time to make it to the Barcelona International Airport.  Our plane leaves at 7:30 AM and we are headed to Milan, Italy.  We are planning on exploring around Milan for a few hours before hopping on a train for Venice.  In the mean time, I´m headed to the shower and get some sleep but Cossar will put some pictures on the blog.

Take care folks,
John G
